The new venture combines Var Group’s international cybersecurity capabilities with local Thai market expertise as businesses face increasingly sophisticated digital threats. Yarix APAC is 51% owned by Thai technology company CV Ventures and 49% by Yarix, Var Group’s cybersecurity center of excellence. As this Bangkok Business PR News report highlights, the Bangkok operation will provide managed security, Security Operations Center services and rapid Incident Response capabilities.
Thai Team Backed by Global Expertise
Yarix APAC is adopting a locally focused operating model while following Yarix’s international methodologies, processes and security standards. Its Bangkok employees, including the Managing Director, are Thai nationals, supporting the company’s objective of developing long-term cybersecurity expertise within Thailand.
The Bangkok team has already delivered its first Incident Response service for a local customer, providing an early test of the company’s ability to combine domestic operational knowledge with international security expertise.
Bangkok Strengthens 24/7 Cyber Defense
Bangkok will also become an important component of Var Group’s “Follow the Sun” cybersecurity model, under which teams operating across different time zones provide continuous monitoring and threat response.
Adding Thailand enables the company to cover Asia-Pacific operating hours while connecting security operations across Europe, the Americas and Asia. The model is designed to maintain round-the-clock protection without excessive dependence on overnight shifts, potentially improving both operational resilience and analyst working conditions.
Thailand was selected because of its expanding digital economy, strategic time zone and growing demand for enterprise cybersecurity. Cloud adoption, artificial intelligence, regulatory requirements and rapid digitalization are also increasing pressure on organizations to strengthen cyber resilience.
Ambitious Thailand Growth Target
Var Group has expanded its cybersecurity footprint internationally since 2022 and now operates 13 cybersecurity offices across six countries, supported by more than 400 cybersecurity professionals. Its cybersecurity operations generate approximately €50 million in revenue.
Yarix APAC is targeting 30 million baht in Thai revenue during its first 12 months and plans to more than double that amount during the following year. The company has signed two local distribution agreements, established dealer arrangements and created a Thai sales operation.
Var Group also plans to invest hundreds of millions of baht over the next 24 to 36 months to support local employment and advanced cybersecurity capabilities.
Thailand’s emergence as Yarix APAC’s regional base could consequently extend beyond cybersecurity alone. If the operation develops as planned, Bangkok could become an increasingly important link in Var Group’s global security network while providing Thai and regional businesses with locally delivered access to international cyber defense capabilities.
